Peptidci

Peptitler (Grekçe: πεπτίδια; “küçük sindirilebilirler”) tanılamamlanmış bir düzende, α-amino asitlerin birbirine rabıtlanmasıyla oluşan kısa polimerlerdir.[1] Bir amino asit lafıntısı ile diğeri arasındaki bağ bir “amit bağ” yahut peptit bağı olarak bilinir.[1]

Tetrapeptit (Oligopeptit)
Proteinler polipeptit molekülleridir (yahut çok skorda polipeptit ast birimi barındırır). Asıl ayırt peptitlerin kısa, polipeptitlerin/proteinlerin ise uzun olmasıdır.[1]

Protein sentezi esnasında her amino asit, başka amino asite ötümlü, kırılmayan bir polimer olan polipeptid zincirleriyle rabıtlanır. Polipeptid mimarisına zalimlan amino asitlerin her biri mimariya peptid rabıtlarıyla rabıtlanır. Peptid bağının oluşumu esnasında amino asitlerden birinin amino grubu ile diğerinin karboksil grubu, aradan bir ab çıkması sonucu birleşirler.[1]

Ortalama bir polipeptit zinciri 450 amino asitten oluşur.[1] Bilinen en uzun polipeptit, yaklaşık 27,000 amino asitten oluşan, kas dokusunda kâin “titin”dir. Polipeptid zincirine zalimlan amino asitlere lafıntı (residue) adı verilir.[1] Zincirin bir ucundaki lafıntı, bağ yapmamış, muaf amino grubu barındırır ve N ucu olarak adlandırılır. Aynı şekilde zincirin başka ucundaki muaf α-karboksil grubu olan lafıntıevet C ucu adı verilir.
